Unemployment insurance and COBRA benefits will expire Sunday for millions of voters because the Senate was unable this week to pass a short-term extension, a failure that reflects partly the partisan gridlock that has stalled the Democratic legislative agenda and partly the Senate rules that allows one lawmaker to block legislation.
What many of the media and pundits fail to report on, are the statistics that are standing in lines like these, that have basically given up. Yes, I am myself one of the millions that previously stood on line for job fairs and career center forums. And to this day, since the end of 2009 have found no signs of viable employment here in Pasco county Florida.
Unemployment is also a problem in our country. I hope the government will do something about this.

What's really sick about this whole employment thing is the fact that we have a dumb ass president so stuck on healthcare. Meanwhile the people have no jobs or income to make enough to pay for all these damn healthcare changes.
Unemployment is a problem for eveyone who does not have a job for whatever reason. You say you were one of the many who stood in the unemployment line! I just can’t see you in such a line since as you said in one of your other post that in one month you made 40,000.00 but I guess an unemployment check will make the pot sweeter..@lilruth Hope you visit soon.
I think not only in one country but in all countries,Unemployment is the biggest problem.
