New Yorkers Cry To Washington Over Losing Signal

ABC vs. Cablevision

In the wake of Disney's decision to follow through on pulling WABC-TV from Cablevision systems, the e-mails were flying in Washington, with calls for government to step in if necessary to bring the parties together.

John Kerry (D-Mass.), chairnman of the Sen. Communications Subcommittee, renewed his call for Washington to step in, as well as telling the two sides to work something out, rather than make "collateral damage" of viewers. But he did not put the blame on ABC, as he seemed to do in a letter to FCC chairman Julius Genachowski last week urging a resolution of the impasse.

In that letter he had said he didn't think ABC should be able to pull the signal without some FCC finding that Cablevision had bargained in bad faith.

But in Sunday's statement, he pointed no fingers. He said that ABC had pulled the signal because it could not agree with Cablevision on the value, and added that it is "neither my place nor my goal to pick sides in this dispute."

I can understand the New Yorkers crys! !for here in Houston there is a loud cry from me I just did not lose the signal but the whole cable network.. I just got cut off without any warning but I should have known it was coming for I had not been able to pay my cable bill for quite sometime and they wanted there money. Comcast does not fool around you must pay or your crys will also be heard loud and clear.

of course, customers should be able to get the best service in their providers. they are paying them money and yet they don't do good, there should be some rebates or something to compensate for the interruption of service.

I had to comment here again to let you all know I sure do miss my cable even tho I was only able to watch one channel that I liked the rest were yanked..and I think its so unfair that they would not give me a break after being such a loyal customer for so many years. They did not give me a warining they just pulled my special programs off and then they still expected me to pay the whole bill for sports programs that I do not even watch. And yet when they offer new customers service they only charge them half of what they were charging me. I crys out that COmCast is unfair and its injustice to do loyal customers this way. Good-Bye to COmcast
