Facebook Grabs You By The Horns 13.02.10
I don't have to tell you that Facebook can be a tremendous source of web traffic. There's a good chance that most of the people you know are on it, and the ones who aren't may be eventually. The social network is consuming more and more of people's time, and thanks to mobile devices, it is always accessible. If you don't have a Facebook Page, you may be missing out on not only traffic to your site, but a chance to engage with customers and ultimately help your brand's reputation.
One of our blog partners, Jay Baer, of Convince&Convert wrote a great piece about why you need Facebook for your company. He highlights "11 things you need to know." These things include how Facebook has 350 Million global users and counting (although Facebook has sinced announced reaching the 400 million user milestone), and how the average Facebook user spends 55 minutes per day on Facebook. Nearly 80,000 sites use Facebook Connect.

Adsense Ads That FAIL 05.02.10

Yes you read it correct. This weird adsense ad was spotted at a really SFW site. Makes you wonder, who clicked on this ad? Was it the mullah in Helmand or the dictator in Tehran looking to increase his hoard of twitter followers. If you come across adsense ads like this do you click them, just to see where thay take you and your computer?
Let me know if you have seen these in your travels along the interwebs as well.

Registry Review #3 02.02.10
History: A 10 year old Chinese girl presents with fever and joint swelling of 8 days duration.
Physical Examination: A thin underdeveloped female presents with a blood pressure of 122/68, heart rate is 86 bpm. She has a grade 3 harsh holosystolic murmur heard best at the apex of her heart. There is also a 2/6 early diastolic decrescendo murmur detected at the left sternal border. An S3 is present. The EKG demonstrates a 1st degree AV block. chest x-ray is normal.
The above symptoms would lead me to believe that the patient is suffering from acute rheumatic fever. This diagnosis of course is only based on the length of fever and whether the child had strep throat that was left untreated. Check out the video below for a more detailed explanation of rheumatic fever and how if left unchecked can lead to more complicated heart conditions.
